2018年7月15日下午2：30，河南大学杰出校友董冠鹏博士应邀在明伦校区新行政楼308会议室作了题为“Introductory and Advanced Multi-level Modelling of Geographical Data with R”的精彩报告。黄河文明中心、环境与规划学院人文地理学、区域经济学等相关专业师生共同参与了此次培训课程。
此次报告会为“Introductory and Advanced Multi-level Modelling of Geographical Data with R”系列培训会的第一讲。报告会上，董冠鹏博士首先结合自身研究经历详细介绍了R语言研究背景及其基本特征。随后，董冠鹏博士对R语言在地理数据分析与建模中的应用进行了细致解读。接着，在座师生就R语言操作问题与董冠鹏博士进行了充分的交流，董冠鹏博士对在座师生心中困惑作了悉心指导。报告会在热烈的掌声中圆满结束。
据悉此次培训包含 Introduction to R language. [Lecture + Practical]、Spatial data visualisation and analysis in R. [Lecture + Practical]、 Multilevel Modelling using R (I)、Multiple structure of spatial data and the Modifiable Areal Unit Problem (MAUP) [Lecture 1]、Random Intercept Multilevel models. [Lecture 2]、 Multilevel Modelling using R (II)、Random Slopes Multilevel models [Lecture]、 Advanced Spatial Multilevel Modelling using R、Hierarchical Spatial Autoregressive Models、Practical and Bring your own data session、Frontiers in Spatial/Spatio-temporal Modelling。董冠鹏博士的授课为中心师生研究地理数据分析与建模、多层线性模型提供了新的研究思路，扩展了中心师生的研究视野，这对于促进中心地理学建设具有重要意义。
