乔纳森•萨帕斯德智教授正在作报告
9月18日上午9：00，乔纳森•萨帕斯德教授受邀在黄河文明中心308会议室作了题为“Creative industries: Past, Present and Future in the UK and beyond”的精彩报告。纽卡斯尔大学城市与区域发展研究中心副主任、河南省社会科学院特聘研究员王学峰教授同黄河文明中心相关专业的部分青年教师及博士、研究生一起参加了此次报告会。报告会由中心执行主任苗长虹教授主持。
苗主任首先对乔纳森•萨帕斯德教授的到来表示热烈欢迎。接着，王学峰教授详细介绍了乔纳森•萨帕斯德教授的研究方向、学术成果及此次主题报告的知识背景。报告会上，乔纳森•萨帕斯德教授首先就Creative Industries的背景、定义、内容及对经济的贡献等做了细致讲解，具体从“Mapping the UK creative economy”、“more creative specialists employed”、“Lessons for Policy”、“Creative industries and Information Technology sectors”、“What is this fusion”、“Policy recommendations”、“Oxford Handbook of Creative Industries”、“Typology of change in creative industries”等方面全面介绍了英国Creative Industries的发展历程及发展内容。他指出“Cultural industries are generally state-subsidised, but increasingly expected to contribute to the economy”；“Creative industries create wealth, and are increasingly fused with digital technologies”；“The education and skills agenda needs to deliver fused graduates”；“Creative industries microbusinesses needs support”；“There is great diversity among the creative industries, and their drivers for change”等。苗主任在最后的总结发言中表示，乔纳森•萨帕斯德教授的报告对大家全面理解文化和创意产业以及当下中国产业结构调整、产业创新等问题具有重要意义；文化和创意产业能够解决大量的就业问题，提高居民收入，对经济影响很大，是一个朝阳产业。
在历时两个小时的报告会中，在场师生认真聆听，扩展了学术视野。乔纳森•萨帕斯德教授详细的讲解和对中心师生未来的学习和研究都起到激励、启发的作用。
